Aberfeldy Malt Whisky 1989 bottled 2007. Most all of its production now goes into United Distiller's blends including Dewers White Label. The single malt is relatively rare, usualy only becoming available in official bottlings in the Distillery. Nose: Sweet, malt aromas with green apples and cut grass. A delicate spiciness with traces of chocolate and hazelnuts. Palate: Sweet with an initial smoky note. Some herbal and oak flavours present. Drier than the nose suggests with an early arrival of firm oak. Sweetens as the malt arrives, a little toffee sweetness. Body: Smooth. Finish: Spicy with hints of oak. Cask Type: Refill Sherry hogsheads. Style: A smooth, balanced whisky displaying a full range of flavours
