Magilligan Peated Irish Whisky. Nose: Sweet and syrupy without being cloying. Fruity. Sweet lime juice. Very faint grassy peatiness. Palate: Soft, fresh, pillowy. Very clean, marshmallow. Lime and biscuits washed down with cream soda. Finish: Light, sweet. Biscuity. Hint of toasty dryness. Very smoky but with a soft juicy texture. Well balanced. Well balanced and juicy. Comment: A lovely, clean, malty, easily drinkable, whisky. The label promises peat, but that is hard to find.
