Nose: Big and sweet with layers of fruit: butterscotch, cinnamon, citrus peels. With water, more spice, ripe oranges and a clover-like grassy/malty note. Palate: medium-bodied. Spices burst in the mouth. Masses of US oak, but it's balanced with gentle, soft maltiness. Explosive, sweet, delicious. Round and rich. Sweet dried fruits, brazil nut, coffee, soft malt, popcorn. Good grip. Oak in balance. Finish: Delicate, elusive, flavours. Long, soft, soothing. Comment: Triple distilled whiskey drawn from bourbon, sherry and port wood... what a balancing act. Plenty of oak but the spirit holds its own. An extra dimension to the 10. All the woods are influential, especially the port in the finish. A dextrous balancing act
