Straffe Hendrik 25cl

Straffe Hendrik pours a lovely golden colour with a lively characterand a bubbly head that is short-lived but leaves lacework down the side of the glass. Nose is subtle - lemons, with a gentle spicy hint of coriander. In the mouth Straffe Hendrik is lively and foamy. Bitter-sweet light malt flavours combine with cloves and coriander, grapefruit, limes and oranges. Finish is fruity and tangy, with a slightly rough alcohol edge, leaving a warm, lemon and coriander aftertaste. Although perhaps stronger-tasting than some Belgian beers of this strength, this is a very enjoyable beer with enough complexity to keep you interested.
