Hommel Poperings is a beautiful, pale-coloured beer from one of Belgium's more noteworthy hop-producing areas. The short-lived, loose head subsides to light notes of vanilla and spice on the nose, clearly marking this out as close in style to a tripel. Hommel although light on the nose, there is the promise of alcoholic strength, which is furthered in the mouth. There is a spicy, vanilla notes that are otherwise very pleasant. It is quite sweet, but not too cloying. Finish is quite tart, leaving a citrusy, hoppy yet sweetish aftertaste
