Mount Gay Rum Eclipse 70cl

Mount Gay Eclipse Rum was created in Barbados in 1910 and it is believed that the name was selected to celebrate a total eclipse of the sun that occurred in that year. The production is a blend of double and single distilled rums from traditional pot stills is aged in charred American Bourbon casks, which gives it a particularly dark, rich golden colour. Mount GayRum pours a golden amber colour. It has sharp cinnamon, pear, and styrene aromas. A soft entry leads to a dryish light-to medium bodied palate with delicate cinnamon, pear eau-de-vie, caramel and pepper flavours. It finishes with a dried fruit and spice fade with a nice impression of peppery heat.
