Fundador means 'Founder' in Spanish. This is an apt name because it was the first brand to be marketed as a 'Brandy de Jerez' way back in 1874. Fundador is Spain's largest export brandy, aged in the traditional solera system. Sherry-soaked barrels give the brandy its distinctive taste and warm colour. Fundador's biggest export market is the Philippines, where 'The Founder' has been the clear leader for more than a century, and now accounts for around 60% of brandy imports.
