(Pilsner) Konigs Pilsner 50cl

Konigs Pilsner a Northern German style Pilsener. Konigs Pilsner pours a nice pale golden colour with some lingering white head. This beer is medium bodied with a floral aroma of Saaz hops with a trace of maltiness. Moderately strong carbonation and a grainy light-malt flavour. Crisp, dry, and bitter. Slightly sweet tasting on the front, but not unpleasantly so, the hops in the beer are very noticeable while not obscuring the typical grainy taste I associate with pilseners. This creates a two-stage taste as the beer rolls from front to back of the tongue. Strong hop bitterness lasts well through the finish. This is a classic example that fits the style perfectly. Just like it should be!
