(Dark Lager) Monchshof Schwarzbier 50cl

Monchshof Schwarzbier is a very good black beer with lots of dark malt and roast. Pours a caramel ruby colour, nearly two fingers of light mocha froth on top. A rich roasted grain aroma, hints of coffee beans. Monchshof Schwarzbier has lots of roasted character, you can almost taste the fire this malt was kilned from. A trace of sweetness on the leading edge, the swallow brings out a flood of roasted flavours once more, warming up this time with roasted coffee and perhaps a hint of chocolate. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with slight carbonation, a good solid beer body to this one. Drinkability - great flavour, fine sessionability
