York Brideshead Bitter 50cl

Brewed in association with Castle Howard in Yorkshire, the setting for the TV version of Brideshead Revisited. York Brewery Brideshead Bitter pours with a fine-bubbled, short-lived head. Aromas are citric, spicy hops with some caramel notes in the malt. The beer itself is a smooth, unassuming and easy drinking bitter with perhaps a faintly floral character. Brideshead Bitter is well balanced, in the mouth the malt character is very dry and light, with some caramel and peppery hops. It is reasonably bitter, giving it a fairly good balance, although perhaps it is a little lively. Floral, soft with some bittering hop notes creep in towards the finish, lingering in a gently bitter aftertaste. A decent session beer.
