One of the original IPAs, Worthington White Shield Pale Ale has always been a favourite of beer afficianados. It's a bottle-conditioned piece of magic! The beer is now brewed at the Museum Brewery in Burton on Trent. White Shield boasts a small amount of William Worthington`s feisty dual yeast and will mature for at least 3 years after shipping from the nation`s oldest mircro-brewery. Its a beautifully rounded amber beer with a full malty palate with delicious orangey-fruity hops and dark fruit notes reminiscent of an abbey beer. Huge upfront flavours but they subside quite quickly into a gentle orange edged bitterness tinged with dark chocolate and caramel.
