Williams Bros. Red Ale 50cl

Williams Bros. Red Ale is a deep, clear ruby-red coloured ale, with a relatively modest nose of orange peel and zesty grapefruit offset by a darker, toffee base. The head is light and there's a medium carbonation with light lacing. It's a nice ale, both satisfying and refreshing at the same time. Mid-bodied, with a tangy flavour that is deep but not sticky. There's a nice, rich malt depth to it, but perfectly balanced with zingy, orangey hop bitterness. The tangy hop orange-peel bitterness carries on into a medium-dry but lingering finish. Williams Bros. Red Ale gets more tangy toward the bottom of the glass as it warms, and deeper flavours, including a bit of blackberry, emerge. Certainly worth another try
