Williams Bros. Gold Ale pours with a moderate head and an aroma that is dominated by hops: orange, grapefruit and some hints of vanilla. It tingles on the tongue, with light and refreshing but flavoursome and satisfying with a light, fruity sweetness that complements the citrus sharpness of the hops. The finish is fairly sharp and medium-bitter, with sweet orange zest that lingers long. The overall effect is light, refreshing and enjoyable. Williams Bros.
