Robinsons Old Tom Strong Ale 33cl

Robinsons Old Tom Strong Ale is a rich warming brew, in the old ale/barley wine category. Pours a deep ruby colour, sweet and spicy aroma of baked plums, molasses, and nutmeg. A hint of sweet tobacco leaf dusted with cherry. On the palate it is complex, rich but smooth malt, ripe fruits followed by warming alcohol. Further sips reveal raisins and other dried fruits along with the figs and dates of the aroma. The finish is soft and prolonged, conjuring treacle covered dates and flaming christmas pudding. Old Tom Ale is a very well-balanced, drinkable beer, to be recommended in place of an after-dinner liqueur.
