Ridgeway Ivanhoe Ale is a Bottle conditioned Pale ale with lots of flavour and character. Ivanhoe Ale pours a beautiful, bright, deep amber colour with a thick and creamy white head, and a soft to moderate amount of carbonation. The nose on this beer is excellent with good pale and sweet malt aromas. The palate is soft and full with good biscuit and sweet malt flavours paired with some jammy estery fruit flavour. Ivanhoe Ale finishes with more good biscuity malt flavour up front, a touch more estery fruit, then ends with just enough hop bitterness to balance the malt character of this beer out. Very nice pale ale.
