Ossett Excelsior Beer pours a rich Gold colour with a thin white head. With a fragrant, flowery hop aroma and a touch of yeast. Flavours are smooth and subtle, some citrus, Lychees and grapefruit, light bitterness, very drinkable. Ossett Excelsior Beer is well balanced ale with grapefuit tones in the taste and a good degree of bitterness, like the citrus drying hop finish. Maybe not the most complex beer, but just what a golden ale should be. The mouthfeel is deliciously soft, making in a real thirst quencher sharing a lot of similiarities with really good German pilseners. Odd, genious and simple, all at once.
