Orkney Red McGregor Ale 50cl

Orkney Red McGregor Ale pours a vibrant red-copper colour, with a large sized creamy off-white head that contains fine-medium sized bubbles that are mostly lasting. The aroma contains lots of malt, smoke malt and earth with pine. Red McGregor Ale has certainly a marked maltiness, but it is very dry and counter pointed by a forceful citric hop presence. The same elements carry through on to the palate. The flavour is balanced with hops coming through, the malt perhaps developing subtle smoky notes, with dried fruit joining the fray too. The finish is clean and bitter. Red McGregor Ale Medium bodied, beautifully balanced and a cracking good drink.
