Nethergate Old Growler Porter Beer 50cl

Nethergate Old Growler Porter Beer is the bottled version of the acclaimed draught beer from Nethergate Brewery. The nose is of strong chocolate, hops and dough, with smoky malt and an elusive spicy hint. The palate is initially sweetish, with rich dark chocolate, but not as sweet as many porters - it has an appealing sour character, somewhat reminiscent of Roast toffee. Old Growler Porter strength is not too noticeable in the flavour, leaving it quite drinkable. The finish is again quite smoky, with a hint of dark roast malt, leaving a smoky, malty, bitter aftertaste. Really a very good beer - a marvellously complex porter
