Durham Cloister Bitter is a Bottle conditioned Ale. It has a faintly hazy gold colour with a good white head and good condition. With grapefruit hop aromas and some flowery perfume notes, a hint of yeast and a suggestion of peardrops. More hoppiness in the mouth, with the grapefruit mingling with pine resin and some more low yeast. Durham Cloister Bitter possesses some floral citric qualities with the aftertaste long, dry and hoppy, Smooth and tasty. A well made brew. Uses Challenger, Target, Columbus and Saaz hops
