It is 100 years ago that the people of Skipton saw the last horse drawn dray wagon traveling from Scotts Skipton Brewery as they delivered the final Oak Barrels of their Fine Ales for the local community. Christopher Scott and his family brewed in the town from the foundation year of 1816 until its take-over by Bentleys of Yorkshire who subsequently closed it in 1904. Scotts 1816 is a full-bodied flavoursome rounded ale with a distinctive hoppy palate and aroma. Only the choicest British Malt and Continental Hops are used to produce this fine ale.
