Burton Bridge Tickle Brain is a strong dark Ale in the style of a Trappist Dubbel Ale. It pours a deep ruby red colour with a nice foamy white head. It has an amazing aroma of flowery yeast, fruits (apples,pears), spicey anise and caramel, cherry cask. Complex flavour of sour apple, caramel, baking bread, pepper & allspice, follows with some berry-ish and hard candy notes. Other notes of dried fruits, plum, malt. Earthy, some cherry wood cask feel. Very complex and does superb job hiding its potency. Rich texture, medium bodied. It has a long lasting massively tasteful finish. Very well made. big alcohol really tickles the brain. lots of fun. Beware the explosion upon opening!
