Goose Island I.P.A 35.5cl

Goose Island I.P.A pours a bright orangeish-gold colour with a bit of haze and a good-sized foamy white head. The head soon fell back to a thin foam cover on the surface that left a little lace on the glass. Hops definitely dominate the aroma. Fresh, piney, citrusy, hops in abundance. The taste, as well, is predominantly hops. A bit of malt sweetness does peek through, but the main flavour is pine, orange/grapefruit, and spice notes provided by the hops. Mouthfeel is medium- to full-bodied and satisfying. A pleasant lingering bitterness with echoes of the hop flavours are found in the aftertaste. Much less timid than UK equivalents in the style. Not subtle but who cares? More please.
