Brooklyn Lager 35.5cl

Brooklyn Lager is classed as an amber lager - it is an all-malt lager brewed to a pre-prohibition recipe, has won a few awards and is the flagship beer of the Brooklyn Brewery. Brooklyn Lager aroma consists of rich roast malt and caramel, with a little hop content. In the mouth it is lively and there is a very faint citrus tang, but it is chiefly characterised by caramel and heavy malt. The flavour of the bittering hops (Hallertau and Cascade) also makes itself felt. The aftertaste is quite hoppy, but also has a fair degree of acidity, counteracting the malty bitterness. Overall, this tastes absolutely nothing like what you would expect from a lager - more like an American brown ale or even an English old ale - and it is very pleasant and drinkable.
