Hook Norton Hooky Gold beer pours a golden colour, beautifully bright with a solid white head that left behind minimal lace. Ripe, spicy citrus fruits tickle the nose with some honey and a light showing of pine underneath. Dry, slightly savoury and spicy fruits in the mouth. Aged tangerines, tangy grapefruit and vine leaves, very soft showing of clean malts and some dry pine similar to the aroma. This worked nicely. Hooky Gold beer is a very light bodied but holds in itself a lot of flavour. Finish has a gripping bitter edge before it slides off fresh and juicy. Becomes nutty as it warms and flattens beyond it's very, very light residual carbonation. Like macadamia nuts washed down with some high energy fruit punch. Hooky Gold beer quite a nice quaffer, definitely sessionable.
