Marston Moor Brewers Droop Ale 50cl

Marston Moors Brewers Droop Ale pours with a lovely orange brown hue, the head is thick and persistent. Challenger and Styrian Goldings hops are used. The nose consists of lots of light fruit - glacé cherries and sharp, crystalline citrus fruit, the whole being somehow reminiscent of a Belgian Red Beer. Brewers Droop Ale is very fruity, and tastes of pear drops, reminiscent of summer pudding or apple pie. It is slightly yeasty with sweet malts and some fruity tang prevail, but is mostly characterised by fairly pleasant light fruity caramel-malt. A lingering bitterness finishes a well rounded beer. This turned out to be a rather palatable pint.
