Cropton Balmy Mild Beer 50cl

Croptons Balmy Mild is a bottle conditioned beer, its a very interesting and refreshing new take on the most traditional of northern beer styles. Balmy Mild pours Mahogny with a dense off white head. An Interesting sour aroma, but accompanied by hints of chocolate. The mouthfeel is a little thin, as is often the case with the style, but the flavour is an exercise in complexity. The sourness in the aroma follows through in the flavour and blends well with a nutty/woody flavour. Slight notes of brown sugar come through, with some soft roasted malt characters. Croptons Balmy Mild is on the malty side, and quite subtle, both characters i would expect a mild to have. A pleasant dry finish rounds of a good beer.
