St Louis Framboise pours a dark red, with a pink head and some nice lacing. The nose is classic lambic musty with raspberry candy overtones. The initial taste is sour/slightly sweet raspberry. St Louis Framboise was tart at the beginning for half a second, and then you tasted the full aroma of rasberries with a twist of sweetness, but not over doing it, but ends pretty sweet and smooth. St Louis Framboise is medium bodied and decent sparkly carbonation. Some might think it's just a sweet lambic, but it does have more going for it than just a sweet outside. Overall this was a little bit more in the range of a lambic than a fruit beer. Strong flavours of real fruit as opposed to being artifical and overly sweet. Super easy to drink, and fulfilling on the palate.
