Johnnie Walker Gold Label Scotch Whisky. Nose: Big, soft-hearted, honeycomb, meaad, exotic spice, rose petal, butter, light wood and ozone. Fruit- unpeeled apricot? Fragrant. Hint of creamy peppermint. Palate: Hugely silky and ripe: a whiff of smoke, peach, mango. All very rich, waxy and long. Silky. Delicate. Scottish tablet. Kendal mint cake. Very subtle fruitness. Finish: Soft, honeyed and gentle with some light smoke. More delicate minty dryness. Comment: Voluptuous and deeply sexy. More of a cousin to Black than a brother.
