Longrow 10 year old Malt Whisky was first distilled at Springbank in 1973. This whisky is double distilled in the traditional Scottish manner from malt dried entirely over a peat fire. It has inspired an obsessive cult following, due to its powerful peat smoke character and limited availability. Nose: Dry, pungent peat smoke and subtle tar notes but it is soothing. Palate: Stunningly fresh peat flavours. A delicate vanilla sweetness from the bourbon casks subtly asserts its presence to give the perfect balance. Finish: The sweetness subsides and gives way to an intense peaty, smoky finale. Longrow 10year old Malt Whisky is beautifully composed whisky.
