Bruichladdich 12yr Malt Whisky Matured in bourbon casks and replacing the 10 year old. Described as having "layers of green fruits, citrus fruits and vanilla cream - the perfect aperitif". They say they have enough stock of this whisky to last 2-4 years. Nose: Toffee, butterscotch overture, followed by vanilla, citrus and apricots, with a final touch of malt, and underlying toastiness throughout. Palate: Ultra-delicate, creamy, apricots, hint of orange marmalade lusciousness, spicy fruityness. Finish: Rich dried fruit with butterscotch, chocolate sweetness and growing toastiness. Comment: Elegant and seductive, while also offering depth and range.
