Bruichladdich 15yr Malt Whisky the second release of 15 year old from Bruichladdich. The nose Peat-free and clean - even cleaner than 10-year-old. The malt is sweeter, too, with more vanilla, and a hint of butterscotch. Flowery, seaweedy, salty. Flavours very well-combined and rounded, with a pleasing build up of spices and oak. Finish Dry and extremely malty. The oak adds a bitter chocolate finale. Wondrously peat-free for an Islay. An easily drinkable yet satisfying malt. Has definitely benefited from the extra five years. Rather lovely stuff. Winner of the Best Islay (Non-Peated) Award in the World Whiskies Awards 2007
