(Mull) Ledaig Light 70cl no age

Ledaig Light Malt Whisky, The distillery changed its name to Tobermory Distillary in the 1970's. The Distillery occupies the ground beside the Ledaig burn on the foreshore of the picturesque 18th century harbour of Tobermory. Nose: Light, delicately peated, freshly ground malt with a young, ammonia note. Beautiful and very clean honey more than compensates. Palate: Light, dry, leafy, with vanilla-pod and creamy, syrupy, malt emerging. Finish: Some oaky notes which soften the peaty spice and malty. A light-coloured young malt which thanks to the peat notes suggests Highland Park. The sweetness tends to point the Orkneys. Unusual, very tasty and great fun.
