Aberlour 10yr old Malt Whisky Sophisticated but very approachable. Nose: Very distinctively nutty, Quite light, There's (green) melon balls, ginger, a hint of cream, sultana and sherry. Palate: Immediate flavour explosion of quite fabulous sweet, buttery malt and richer sherry tones. Just a hint of smoke fills out the middle. Nutty maltiness. Unusually textured. Nougat-like. A hint of cherries. Beautifully balanced. Finish: Long. Gentle but firm. Subtle spiciness. Nutmeg? Cinnamon? Comment: To taste, this is a lively malt of pleasing depth.
