Rosebank Malt Whisky 1991 bottled 2007. Rosebank the distillary closed in 1993 it was one of those rare malts that goes through the triple distillation process. Pale straw in colour, Nose: A hint of smoke and plethora of other delicate aromas. Primroses and sandalwood, faint marzipan and passion fruit. Stunning. Palate: It rolls nicely in the mouth. Elegant, with little spikes of flavour: nut, grass and flowers laid on top. Light and delicate with very firm malt and gentle spice. Finish: dry and spicy initially with cut grass and floral flavours developing, It all zips into life at the end. This remains a cracking dram. Comment: Fabulous whisky, quite lives up to the expectation built by the astonishing nose.
