Auchentoshan 10yr Malt Whisky. The Distillary Auchentoshan is one of the last active distilleries in the Lowlands. A great part of its production is dedicated to blenders, also used in the Rob Roy blend. Nose: Perfumes of lemon-grass, linseed oil and vanilla. Palate: Zest of lemon, marshmallow. Sweet but not cloying. Dry and slightly wooded. atractive and balanced, quite nutty and feisty. Finish: Vanilla, perfumy. Candied citrus peel. Orange zest. Cedar. Oak. Good balance , nicely rounded. Soothing. Long. Comment: Very expressive when young - as might be expected from a classic Lowlander.
