(Eastern Highland) Glencadam Malt Whisky 1987 70cl

Glencadam Malt Whisky 1987 bottled 2007. The Glencadam distillery (also known as GlencaRdam) is said to have been founded in the year 1825. Nose: Medium-bodied and slightly floral but with a rich malty core. Water reveals a buttery richness with honeyed fruits, hot cross buns and spices. Palate: A dry-ish start with light spice and nut, then citrus oils, hazelnut and an overall pleasant texture. Well balanced. Smooth, silky and creamy. A caress of mingled flavours. All nose promises are delivered. Finish: Dry with a touch of smoke. Comment: Attractive rather than complex, but very attractive at that Graceful and characterful. To be sipped on a midsummer starlit night. A true dancing dram.
