The distillery was closed in 1983. Nose: Lashings of vanilla, with citrus, figs and apricots followed by dark chocolate and maltiness. Palate: Soft, creamy vanilla soon extends with dark chocolate, luscious orange marmalade and apricots, seasoned with spice, becoming richer. Finish: Luscious, juicy fruit subsides to make way for chocolate maltiness. Sweet lemons. Gently appetising. Warming.
