Edradour 10yr Malt Whisky. Now owned by the independant bottler Signatory Vintage. Edradour is the smallest distillery of Scotland. Just 3 people are working full time at the distillery. Nose: Usual heavyweight aroma associated with this distillery- Dried apricots. Oloroso sherry. Faintly spicy smokiness. Oloroso is evident. Palate: Enormously rich mouthfeel, with roasted barley and then a wave of grapey fruit, Creamy. Minty. Nutty. Almondy dryness. Finish: Deliciously oily and sprinkled with soft spices, vanilla, caramel and oak. Comment: Massive whisky from a pint-sized distillery and massively impressive.
