Clynelish Malt Whisky 1993 bottled 2006. Located on the Northern Highlands the distillery was built in 1819. Nose: Vivid, nutty. Custard, lemon curd. A smoky hint like a distant bonfire. A delightful spicy and perfumed nose, with some floral and malty hints, the whole beeing very fresh and rather complex. Palate: A great complexity in the palate as well, whith some slight citrus hints, on a honey background with peat ant delicious spices. Very refreshing, delicate spiciness. With water, a spice explosion. Finish: A finish developing on honey hints, than some more bitter and salted touches. Slightly dry. Lovely citrus and walnut notes. Comment: A full-bodied with strong peat-smoke elements. Fresh like a sea-breeze
